The human relationship with language is incredibly deep and wondrous. As cultures evolve and shift, so do the ways in which they communicate. The evolution and change of language come rapidly, shifting from day to day as colloquialisms and regional differences grow and spread throughout regions. Video games are actually a great example of how shifts in art and culture affect the ways in which languages change. Gaming communities have their own phrases—references to how games are played and experienced distilled down into dialects that people can slowly grow more fluent in as they engage with the media associated.
