One of the most defiant historical figures to take a stand against the Roman Empire at its peak was Boudica, a warrior queen who led a rebellion against the Roman occupation of Britain in the first century. The tragedy of Boudica is recounted in the new historical action movie Boudica: Queen of War. Though Boudica begins as a vassal to the Roman Empire, she is betrayed by them after her husband is killed, along with her daughters. Having lost everything, she rallies the Britons to raze the Roman presence to the ground.
