Prime Video debuted a new trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 during its San Diego Comic-Con panel today, and a big focus of it is the rings themselves... and, of course, Sauron.
The latest trailer opens with a shot of Halbrand (Charlie Vickers), who we now know was Sauron's Season 1 form. Through a voiceover, we get an omnious warning from Galadriel (Morfydd Clark): "Sauron sees himself as master of all of Middle-earth. He seeks to rule it not only through conquest, but by bending the minds of all its peoples to his own. And for that he needs not armies, but Rings." As we know, the creation of more Rings will be a major part of Season 2.

We then see Galadriel pick up and put on a Ring, much to Elrond's (Robert Aramayo) dismay. In fact, Elrond is pretty anti-Rings for the entire trailer. "In choosing to wear those Rings, you have all become his collaborators," he says.
Galadriel, however, denies that the ring is deceiving her, and instead guiding her. Also in the trailer is a fresh glimpse of Sauron's Season 2 form — a blonde elf — meeting Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards).
The Harfoots are there, too, as is The Stranger (Daniel Weyman) as he grapples with what his purpose is. At least he has Tom Bombadil there to help guide him, as the mysterious J.R.R. Tolkien character joins Season 2.
Prince Durin IV (Owain Arthur), meanwhile, is shown fighting with his father, who's obtained a Ring and doesn't seem keen to let go of it. Among the other moments teased in the jam-packed trailer: Arondir (Ismael Cruz Córdova) with an Ent, Elrond coming to Durin for help, and a massive battle against orcs, as well as a look at what appears to be a troll.
It's only our latest look at The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 as it returns to San Diego Comic-Con, following up its big 2022 appearance for Season 1. Several members of the cast, too, will be hitting IGN's SDCC show this weekend.
