Although many mutant heroes have carried the mantle of Wolverine on different occasions, every one of them has suffered horribly for the right to lay their claim to it. This is even true of Marvel's non-mutant Wolverine, even if he never got to experience anything like the Weapon X program for himself. In fact, Albert might just be the most tragic Wolverine of them all. This makes it more sad that so few people know his story to begin with.
