The Scarlet Witch has had a bumpy history throughout the 21st century. From bringing about the end of the Avengers and decimating the mutant race in Brian Michael Bendis' Avengers Disassembled and House of M, respectively, all the way up to her eventual redemption in Leah Williams' The Trial of Magneto, Wanda Maximoff was long denied the chance to be the beloved hero she'd previously been for decades. This turmoil has even made it into the MCU, as seen in Wandavision and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. Steve Orlando's ongoing Scarlet Witch series has put an end to this rough patch in Scarlet Witch's life, however, raising Wanda to new heights while simultaneously embodying everything great about superhero comics.
