Artist Ben Stenbeck has developed a strong following thanks to his work on the Hellboy and Baltimore franchises at Dark Horse Comics. Now Stenbeck is flying solo at Image Comics, where he's debuting a very promising post-apocalyptic horror series called Our Bones Dust.
IGN can exclusively debut a new preview of Our Bones Dust #1 ahead of the book's December 6 release. Head to the slideshow gallery below for a closer look:
Stenbeck is joined by fellow Hellboy veteran Dave Stewart, who serves as colorist on the series.

A feral child equal parts predator and prey, navigates a nightmare landscape of brutality and blood inhabited by scattered cannibal tribes. An interesting place to poke around for a curious Artificial Intelligence.

"This series is the culmination of a few years' work," Stenbeck tells IGN. "Mostly it's an excuse for me to draw this ruined world that is as beautiful to me as it is ugly. Just like the characters who live there."
“I’ve had the great pleasure of working with Ben for about a million years now so I’m a bit conflicted saying this—But I think this, his first big solo effort, is the best thing he’s ever done," said Mignola in Image's press release. "I’d like to think maybe I taught him everything he knows but the truth is he’s always been great and now he’s just taken that extra step and has finally become that truly great creator he was always meant to be.”
Our Bones Dust #1 will be released on Wednesday, December 6.
