While many would consider Anakin Skywalker the Chosen One, a major issue Yoda had with him in the Star Wars franchise was whether he could trust the young Jedi. He knew Anakin held amazing potential, from the moment Qui-Gon Jinn brought him over to the Jedi Council at the end of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. However, as much as Master Yoda sensed Anakin's strength in the Force, he deemed his training risky because he was simply too old to become an initiate.
