Deadpool 3 occupies a unique place in the pantheon of superhero movies, especially in relation to shared universes. It's the swansong to the Fox X-Men movie universe, but it will also be a crossover into the Marvel Cinematic Universe by way of the multiverse. Ironically, the movie's irreverent tone may also offer a chance to say goodbye to something else that's been plaguing the MCU.
