The High Republic was a publishing initiative announced in 2020 and launched in 2021 with a flood of new Star Wars stories across books, comics and manga. The era has since expanded to mediums such as animation with The Young Jedi Adventures animated series. The planned Star Wars Eclipse video game and the upcoming live-action series, The Acolyte will also feature the era. The era also recently played a prominent role in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, with Dagan Gera hailing from the period. The High Republic takes the Star Wars story back hundreds of years before the start of the Skywalker Saga and has found success among the fan base with Lucasfilm's commitment. The project's third and final phase just started, with more stories set during the era surely coming afterward.
