The Marvels is the upcoming sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel, teaming the titular Carol Danvers with her "niece" Monica Rambeau/Photon and gushing fangirl Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel. The relationship with the latter is sure to be a big part of the movie's narrative, especially going by the movie's trailer. To really make this work, however, the movie will actually need to adapt one of Carol's major personality flaws from the comics.
