The Office began as a mockumentary in the UK, written by and starring Ricky Gervais. Following its success, the US version was born and ran for 9 seasons. The original only had 2 seasons, but it still holds up just as well as its successor. Both are based on the same premise of a paper company and the employees within the workplace.
