Nintendo has several iconic and successful video game intellectual properties, with franchises such as Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda being some of the best, biggest names in gaming. There are still some franchises from the company that aren't quite mainstream, however. In fact, one infamous role-playing game was once set to headline the Nintendo 64 before entering a somewhat doomed production.
