It has been over four years since Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige announced a standalone Fantastic Four film, which would finally bring Marvel's "first family" into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Since its introduction at the San Diego Comic-Con in 2019, the studio has confirmed little about this upcoming project, set to release on May 2, 2025. However, among a legion of theories currently on the web about the films' casting and crew, MCU's Secret Invasion may have hinted at how the super-powered group could foray into the current timeline.
