For the past few months, fantasy cooking anime Delicious in Dungeon (also known as Dungeon Meshi) has been a smash hit among anime fans. Now, as Season 1 comes to a close, the show officially has another season on its way.
Today, shortly after the last episode of Season 1's premiere, the team behind Delicious in Dungeon announced that the show is receiving a second season. The upcoming season is currently in production and also received a quick teaser trailer.

First announced in 2022, Delicious in Dungeon is a fantasy anime based on the manga by Ryoko Kui that follows an unlikely party of adventurers who set out to explore a perilous dungeon — and cook unexpectedly tasty-looking meals with the monsters they slay. Delicious in Dungeon is produced by Studio Trigger, also known for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Kill la Kill, and Darling in the Franxx.
Season 1 of Delicious in Dungeon became massively popular over the course of its 24 episodes, in part thanks to their weekly release schedule on Netflix. Fans were also quick to praise the show for its (unconfirmed) neurodivergent representation found in main character Laios.
We gave the show's first six episodes an 8 in our review, calling "the fundamentals of its gastronomic fantasy adventure" a "welcome respite."
