When it comes to Darth Vader's story in the Star Wars Universe, well, it's a bit divisive. The prequel trilogy leaned hard into Anakin Skywalker's corruption by the Dark Side and how he'd eventually fall under the thumb of Emperor Palpatine. Still, many felt his eventual face turn was rushed at the end of Return of the Jedi, with a lot of context missing as to why he deserved sentiment and forgiveness.
