Television has had its fair share of slow-burning will-they-won't-they romances. The long-form storytelling format seems uniquely suited to the trope, as audiences will tune in week after week to see if their favorite characters ever get together. In many cases, the pair in question might have an on-again, off-again relationship or will finally couple up at the very end of the series, but a select few don't even get to that stage.
