Warning: This article contains full spoilers for Loki's Season 2 premiere, which is now streaming on Disney+.

The first episode of Loki Season 2 has a post-credits scene, which you definitely won't want to miss as it has become an instant talking point among fans who noticed an interesting little nod to the Thor comics.

The Loki Season 2 premiere, "Ouroboros", found Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief lost to time and torn, quite literally, between past, present, and future. The episode introduces big mysteries and raises a lot of new questions, but one particular question involving a Thor Easter egg seems to have piqued viewers' curiosity.

Proceed with caution! You're about to enter major spoiler territory.

The post-credits scene teases the fate of Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie, who is absent for much of the episode. She steps out of a Time Door and onto a branched timeline following her execution of He Who Remains. A chyron on the screen tells us Sylvie has arrived in 1982, where she stands alone in a field in Broxton, Oklahoma.

Fans immediately noticed the significance of the location and took to social media to highlight its deep connection to the Thor franchise. Broxton appeared in J. Michael Straczynski's 2007 Thor series, in which Thor recreated the kingdom of Asgard in Midgard, transforming it into a floating castle above the town.

The mere mention of Broxton in Loki left people questioning its signficance to the plot. One person on Reddit wondered whether it is simply a fun reference for fans of the Thor comics or whether "they'll do anything with it" in the MCU, possibly as a stepping stone to more stories about the intersection of gods and mortals.

These questions have some extra weight because executive producer Kevin Wright has teased the prospect of Chris Hemsworth's Thor appearing in an episode of Loki. "I think the sun shining on Loki and Thor once again has always been the priority of the story we're telling," Wright told Variety in an interview ahead of Loki Season 2. "But for that meeting to really be fulfilling, we have to get Loki to a certain place emotionally. I think that's been the goal of these two seasons."

Whatever the case, Sylvie appears to be settling into her new surroundings as she strolls into a McDonald's and orders a feast, but "not squirrel, not possum, not rat, something that's already dead – and nothing with a face", and we know from the show's marketing that she will end up working at the fast food spot.

Loki Season 2 will debut new episodes every Thursday on Disney+ through November 9. You can read IGN's review of Episodes 1-4 here, which comes with a small warning to viewers: "Those expecting a new multiversally manic season of Loki should temper their expectations."
