Some of the coolest Transformers figures in recent years have been unlikely mash-ups between the Robots in Disguise and other iconic pop culture franchises. Just in time for Halloween, Hasbro is revealing a new Transformers mash-up that draws inspiration from the classic 1931 film Frankenstein.

This new monstrosity is dubbed Frankentron. Check out the slideshow gallery below for an exclusive first look at the figure and its retro-inspired packaging:

The Frankentron figure transforms from robot mode to tank mode in 16 steps, and features a number of design details inspired by Boris Karloff's iconic depiction of Frankenstein's Monster. Even Frankentron's weapon is modeled after Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory equipment from the film. The packaging, meanwhile, is designed to mimic a classic VHS cassette tape.

Frankentron is priced at $44.99 and is slated for release in Fall 2023. Preorders will open exclusively on Amazon at 10am PT on Tuesday, September 5. Limited quantities will also be sold on the Hasbro Pulse website. Preorders will only be open to Hasbro Pulse Premium members for the first hour and will open to all buyers at 11am.

Hasbro's previous Transformers mash-up figures have included the Ghostbusters-themed Ectotron and the Back to the Future-themed Gigawatt.

In other Hasbro news, you can check out the newest Star Wars: Ahsoka figures and see every figure on display at Comic-Con.
