Michael Scott was a unique boss in The Office, with an undying need to gain approval from anyone he met. His insecurities would often cause sticky situations, sometimes resulting in issues for others. However, he was funny and could show up when his employees least expected it. Overall, he just wanted a close-knit friendship group and to know he was loved. Michael was a good boss but could've been even better if he hadn't gotten caught up in what people thought of him.
