In the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, monster stats boil down to three categories: Attack, defense, and level. Even exceptions like Link Monsters — which can't be placed in defense position — still follow it in their own way, with Link Ratings serving a similar role in telling the player how hard it'll be to bring them out. In addition to this, most attack or defense totals end in a nice clean 00, or in rare cases, a 50.
