Beginning as the last Kryptonian, sent as a child from his dying home planet to Earth, the hero grew up with the powers of a god, his cells strengthened by Earth's sun. The hero has become a unifying symbol, as much in the world of DC as the real world, with his iconic S standing as a symbol of hope, truth and justice.
