The Marvel Cinematic Universe is always pushing into new territory as Marvel Studios looks to adapt debuting characters and innovative concepts from the comics. However, Agents Of SHIELD, the beloved Marvel TV show, was ahead of the curve on a range of ideas that the MCU would eventually explore further. The series clearly had the opportunity to take risks, and with so many episodes to fill, it's no surprise that the showrunners were constantly looking for fresh angles.
