Peacock's prequel series Ted reveals how the titular teddy bear began his chaotically endearing friendship with John Bennett -- but the TV format means that there's also more time to spend with John's family. On the big screen, John's parents were Helen and Steve Bennett, played by Ralph Garman and Family Guy's Alex Borstein. In the show, they've been renamed Susan and Matty, and the roles have been taken over by Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach.
