Exclusive: Chris Pratt Comes to Magic: The Gathering in Jurassic World Crossover

Be it Fallout, Doctor Who, The Lord of the Rings, or plenty more, Magic: The Gathering is far from done embracing the power of the crossover. The next in that long line is a collection of cards set in the Jurassic World universe, and we've got four to exclusively reveal for you today - including a card depicting the one and only Chris Pratt.

Flip through the slideshow below to see all four new cards:

Similar to the Transformers cards that came alongside The Brothers' War set last year, 26 cards are being made as part of the Jurassic World Collection, each depicting iconic characters and scenes from the various Jurassic Park movies. That includes the ones we're revealing above: Owen Grady (depicted by Chris Pratt), his raptor friend Blue, the infamous "Clever Girl" scene reimagined from the raptor's perspective, and a double-sided basic Mountain showing the island's central mountain peacefully on one side and erupting with lava on the other.

All of these cards have a 1-in-12 chance of being found in Set Boosters for the upcoming Lost Caverns of Ixalan set, and one is guaranteed to show up in every Collector Booster. Just as The Brothers' War involved a lot of mechs and robotic creatures that created somewhat of a connection to Transformers, Ixalan is a Magic setting with lots of dinosaurs of its own, making it a good home for Jurassic Park.

Amusingly, Wizards of the coast recently announced an upcoming crossover with Marvel slated for 2025. While we don't know many details beyond it being a "multi-year, multi-set deal" at this point, Chris Pratt's role as Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe could conceivably make him the first real person to appear on two Magic cards as two different characters.

That's just speculation, of course, as WOTC could also decide to focus on interpretations of Marvel's comics more than the movie recreations - The Lord of the Rings products are entirely new imaginings of those stories and characters, for example, rather than following the lead of Peter Jackson's popular trilogy.

The Lost Caverns of Ixalan officially launches on November 17, at which point its dinosaurs (Jurassic Park or otherwise) will inevitably break out of their cages and make their way to a Commander table near you.
