Fall Of X has devastated the X-Men with its opening salvo. X-Men: The Hellfire Gala #1 (by various writers and artists) saw Orchis make their most damaging assault yet, killing the new X-Men team alongside the majority of the mutants, and taking control of Krakoa's gates. Marvel has laid clues to how the story will continue in the Before The Fall one-shots, and one of those, The Sinister Four, had Mother Righteous reveal redacted prophecies to Doctor Stasis. One of these documents spoke directly about the Red Queen, who also happens to be an esteemed veteran member of the X-Men.
