When Star Wars Rebels brought Grand Admiral Thrawn back into Star Wars canon, the series gave the galaxy far, far away a villain unlike any other. While other high-ranking Imperials were often looking down their noses at "Rebel scum" and finding themselves defeated swiftly thereafter by the very enemies they had dismissed, Thrawn held a certain respect for his enemies. He recognized their strengths and admired their cultures, which only made him even more dangerous.
