Pokémon Scarlet and Violet pocket monsters are coming to Pokémon Go in September 2023.
Announced during the August Pokémon Presents event, very little was said about the new set of Pokémon but this update will at least bring the likes of Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly to the mobile game.
"Suit up for adventure and head out in search of Pokémon from every region, from Kanto to Paldea," said the announcement. "As we continue through Pokémon Go's seventh year, your adventures will only continue to expand with the entire world as your stage."
The Pokémon Company didn't share whether the release of Scarlet and Violet Pokémon would happen all at once or be staggered like more recent generations, but it at least won't be too long before fans find out.
This wasn't the only Pokémon Scarlet and Violet news shared during the event though, as The Pokémon Company also revealed a September release date for the games' first major expansion: The Teal Mask.
A Mew and Mewtwo event was also announced alongside two new animated series, two Pokémon games coming to Nintendo Switch Online, and more. Read about every announcement in IGN's Everything Announced article.
