Here's an Alienware laptop you don't see discounted very often. As part of the Dell Back to School Sale, Dell is offering the Alienware x14 R2 RTX 4060 gaming laptop for $1249.99 after a $650 instant discount. This is the smallest and lightest Alienware laptop you can get but it is still a very capable gaming rig.

Starting today, there is a better deal on a very similar configuration - but with 16GB of RAM instead of 32GB - for only $1249.99. If you wanted that 32GB of RAM, you can still upgrade it for the same price as before.
Alienware x14 R2 RTX 4060 Gaming Laptop for $1249.99
The Alienware x14 is one of the most portable gaming laptops around, measuring in at only 0.57" at its thinnest point and weighing in at 4.22 pounds. A large part of that is due to the smaller 14" display, but this is also a newer x-series model that is categorically thinner and lighter than its m-series counterparts.
This particular laptop features a 14" 2560x1600 QHD+ display, Intel Core i7-13620H CPU, GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The 13th gen Intel Core i7-13620H has a Turbo Max Frequency of 4.9GHz with 10 cores, 16 threads, and a 24MB cache. This is a low voltage processor that is capable of your everyday tasks and gaming while sipping power.
The RTX 4060 sits between the RTX 3070 and the RTX 3070 Ti so it's definitely no slouch in terms of gaming performance. It's worth nothing that this RTX 4060 GPU has a max TGP of 85W. That's less than what the x16 and m16 laptops offer (115W TGP) so it won't perform as well as its bigger siblings. You'll need a decent amount of GPU power to be able to run games smoothly on the display's bumped up QHD+ resolution, so you will probably need to reduce settings on the most demanding games.
