Agatha Harkness has been manipulating the heroes of the Marvel Universe. Throughout the Contest of Chaos event, Agatha has been pitting hero against hero at nexus points of magic. She's been harnessing the magical energy created from these conflicts to forge a new Darkhold. Agatha believes she's the only person who can control and contain chaos magic, and this new Darkhold will be her way of doing so. In Avengers Annual 2023, written by Stephanie Phillips with art by Alberto Foche and Álvaro López, colors by Raúl Angulo, and letters by VC's Cory Petit, the Avengers find themselves battling heroic friends while trying to thwart the creation of Agatha's new Darkhold. The resulting issue is a fun battle and a relatively satisfying conclusion to the Contest of Chaos event.
