Today's daily deals for Sunday, August 13 include PlayStation 5 consoles on sale, preorders for Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the best price we've seen on Pikmin 4 so far, the Tears of the Kingdom Pro Controller in stock, a great price on Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and a lot more. Check out these deals and many others below.
Big PlayStation 5 Sale on Amazon
For this week only, Sony has decided to slash prices on their PS5 console and DualSense controllers. You'll see this sale at quite a few vendors, and that includes Amazon.
Get the Tears of the Kingdom Pro Controller for $64.54
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nintendo Switch Pro Controller was pretty hard to find when the game came out back in May. Personally, I never saw this controller sitting on store shelves… In America, that is. Right now on Amazon, you can grab the Japanese version of this controller for $64.54. It's actually cheaper than the controller would be in America, and it's fully compatible with North American Nintendo Switch consoles. It ships from Amazon Japan, so it may take a few extra days, but it's worth it for that sweet, sweet design.
Preorder the Two Huge October 20 AAA Games
Two huge AAA games are coming out on the same day later this year. On October 20, PlayStation 5 fans can pick up Marvel's Spider-Man 2, while Nintendo Switch owners can dive into Super Mario Bros. Wonder. These two games are both up for preorder now, so you can secure your copy for launch day. Spider-Man 2's Launch Edition is available for preorder, which includes the Arachknight Suit for Peter, Shadow-Spider Suit for Miles, the Web Grabber gadget early unlock, and three skill points.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Next Level Edition Is $24.99
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a great fantasy spin on the Borderlands formula, fusing the great sense of humor and gunplay with what is essentially the world of Dungeons and Dragons. It's a ton of fun in a group, and right now you and your friend group can each grab the game for just $24.99. I played this with a friend last year, and as my first Borderlands experience, I really enjoyed everything this game had to offer.
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete Is $17.04
I won't sugarcoat it -- the lore of the entire Final Fantasy VII universe is… Complicated. Included in that lore is the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, a movie that follows the story of the original game. Today, you can get the 4K UHD + Blu-ray + Digital bundle for $17.04. It's a great way to immerse yourself further in the world and lore of Final Fantasy VII before FFVII Rebirth comes out next year.
Get The Super Mario Bros. Movie for $21.99
You can bring home The Super Mario Bros. Movie today for just $21.99. This includes the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and Digital versions of Nintendo and Illumination's animated feature. If you like Mario, you'll love all of the easter eggs included in this movie.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope for Under $30
Super Mario RPG is still a lengthy three months away from its launch on Nintendo Switch. But there is a different type of Mario RPG you can grab on Switch today: Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. This sequel to the 2017 original seemed to really fly under the radar upon release last year, but it's a great follow-up that meaningfully expands the world and gameplay of the first entry.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection Is $24.99
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection on Nintendo Switch compiles thirteen TMNT games by Konami in one package. Plus, it adds online play for certain games alongside local couch play. If you're on a Turtles kick following the new movie, this is a great way to experience the best TMNT games out there.
Get Pikmin 4 for 15% Off
Pikmin 4 is the latest first-party Nintendo Switch exclusive, and like many other games in the Switch library, it's been nearly instantly recognized as the best game in the franchise. Pikmin 4 is incredible, and feels like the full realization of where the Pikmin franchise started heading in Pikmin 3. It has tons of content, is insanely charming, and is just overall a blast to play. The game is seeing its first big sale today, and I really recommend it.
Tears of the Kingdom Is 19% Off
Tears of the Kingdom is still being talked about online, three months after its release. The game launched at $70, but you can get a nice 19% discount when you buy the game at Amazon today. It's worth every penny, as I'm still playing the game long after launch, and I still have so much left to do.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon Is 50% Off
Bayonetta Origins flew underneath a lot of radars when it launched in March earlier this year. I guess it's just one of those years -- not every game can be in the spotlight. But Bayonetta Origins deserves it, as we awarded the game an amazing score in our review. This is a very different game than the rest of the Bayonetta franchise, as it merges light puzzle solving with simple action combat.
Nintendo Switch Digital Game Sale
If you're a digital gamer, there is a sale going on right now at Amazon for some of the best games on Nintendo Switch. Mario Party Superstars is my favorite entry in the long-running series since the GameCube, Mario Tennis Aces deserves more credit than it gets, and Hyrule Warriors is the ultimate fan service romp for any big Zelda fan. Plus, Overcooked and Monster Hunter are two of the greatest third-party games on Nintendo Switch.
Princess Peach amiibo is Back in Stock
This Princess Peach amiibo first launched way back in 2015, and it has recently gone back in stock. This amiibo works across games on Nintendo Switch, like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and a lot more.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Is Under $8
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania compiles every level from Super Monkey Ball 1, 2, and Deluxe in one package. The original Monkey Ball games are some of the absolute best puzzle platformers out there, but even just calling them that doesn't do them justice. You roll a monkey ball through a maze to the goal. It's a simple concept, but they way they take it in every direction imaginable is just amazing.
