When people tune in to see their favorite slasher, it's usually to enjoy the creative kills they dish out to their victims. Or, depending on the character, it might be the quippy one-liner they'll utter before adding another tally to their kill count. But one thing that's never deeply explored is the motivations of these characters and what makes them kill or, more importantly, why they're so evil in the first place. Granted, fans may know the character's backstory and why they do what they do, but there's an inherent level of evil that comes with these faces that many may not consider. For example, Freddy Krueger was evil long before he could enter dreams, while Leatherface was more accurately a victim of circumstance and abuse.
