While Jonathan Majors’ legal troubles posing the real possibility that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will abandon the Kang story is disappointing, Loki’s series finale did more than enough to wrap up the character’s primary arc. The character may have been hyped by MCU leader Kevin Feige as a game-changing presence, but the films and Disney+ programming have yet to truly establish him as much more than a transitional threat. MCU's most threatening Kang moment came in the post credits scene for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania when each Kang variant was gathered together to tease an all-out war, but this moment can simply be viewed retroactively as added stakes for what the God of Mischief, Loki, needed to help stifle during the events of Loki Season 2.
