While gay and lesbian relationships have become more and more common in mainstream media in the last couple of years, manga has featured sexual and gender-diverse characters for decades. Since this genre pioneered LGBTQ+ love stories, some of the best lesbian romances out there come from yuri. Unfortunately, these titles remain in obscurity because they haven't gotten an anime adaptation.
