Magic the Gathering is one of the world's most intricate and enjoyable card games, but for some time now it has lacked a way to play without a live opponent. While other games like Hearthstone may have an adventure mode, Magic the Gathering hasn't had a single-player experience since the game Magic 2015, which had a short campaign alongside the typical multiplayer gameplay. One thing even that experience was missing was some of the fun variety that can be had in single-player card games. Deckbuilders, like Slay the Spire, give many different ways to modify player decks through their gameplay, making the experience of deckbuilding unique and interesting. Even with Magic 2015, the MtG community never really got anything like that.
