There are few working directors as polarizing as Zack Snyder. His dark and violent vision for the DC Extended Universe has inspired all manner of debate about its merits, much like his R-rated 300 and Watchmen comic book adaptations. Viewers are equally divided on his 2011 flop Sucker Punch; depending on who you ask, it's either a misunderstood indictment (as Snyder has insisted) or the very embodiment of sexism in pop culture.
