Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon both conforms to and breaks down the classic archetypes of fantasy storytelling. When the despotic Motherworld turns its attention to the vulnerable farming village of Veldt, former Imperial soldier Kora and wide-eyed farmer Gunnar scour the galaxy for some much-needed help. Among the recruits are Tarak -- the exiled prince of a conquered planet turned blacksmith -- and Kora's old ally General Titus. Alongside Kora and the Bloodaxes, these two rebels may prove instrumental in the Regent's downfall.
