A fan mock-up of a video game based on The Mandalorian has Star Wars fans desperate for a game that may never be.
The concept came from Twitter user GavMakesGames, who also happens to be a UI technical designer at EA DICE. It shows a handful of (not real) screenshots from a third person adventure game where players take on the role of The Mandalorian himself, Din Djarin, alongside an animated title screen.

Back at it again making mockups for games that don't exist. Here's some UX/UI art & design practice I've been doing in recent days.

"Back at it again making mock-ups for games that don't exist," said GavMakesGames. "Here's some UX/UI art and design practice I've been doing in recent days."
Alongside the animated title screen for what he called The Mandalorian: Way of the Warrior, the tweet also shows menus with character customisation, the character standing on a bright alien planet, a menu screen from what looks to be the Ewok's forest moon of Endor, and more.
The concept immediately went viral, amassing thousands of likes and retweets and sparking conversation elsewhere on the internet. "I'd give anything for a game like this," said cdawg_66 on Reddit. "This hurt to look at," added SeiTyger. "Not because I don't like it, but because I like it so much."
The title screen in animated form (okay it's not super spicy but hey, imagine you click "play" and those stars go into light speed and warp you directly to where you left off last time you played :o) pic.twitter.com/Lyw5eTAxSB

Fans desperate for the fake game might not be completely out of options though. Star Wars: Outlaws is an open world game coming from Ubisoft, where players take on the role of a scoundrel during the time between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
There's also a more mysterious game coming from Amy Hennig and the director of the infamously cancelled Star Wars 1313, Dominic Robilliard. It's unclear if this new game will resemble that one at all, but it did follow the (sort of) Mandalorian Boba Fett as he ran bounty hunting missions on Coruscant.
