Star Trek: Picard Season 3 enforced a special security measure to prevent the theft of a very special prop, according to art director Liz Kloczkowski. Prop departments on productions that don't involve nearly 60-year-old generational franchises keep strict security measures. Yet the classic rebuilt bridge set from Star Trek: The Next Generation is one that everyone involved had a deep emotional attachment to. So, producers wanted to make sure that attachment didn't get more physical when it came to the one piece of the set that was a bona fide original.
