Ever since it was first introduced in the mid-'90s, Marvel's Age of Apocalypse timeline has not only been widely accepted by fans but it has also become an integral chapter in the ongoing mythos of the X-Men. The original 1995 event began very similar to a What If...? story as it explored what would happen if Charles Xavier had died before forming the X-Men. Throughout the series, several alternate versions of the popular mutant heroes were introduced, including an all-new, all-different version of Logan called Weapon X who quickly became a fan-favorite.
