Despite proudly bearing the moniker of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Peter Parker has been at the heart of some of Marvel's most harrowing storylines. This makes it all the worse that, as of now, Spider-Man has shed anything about him that could possibly be called friendly in exchange for a far darker demeanor. Along with this shift in attitude, he has also decided to step back into the shadows and return to the classic costume he last wore in the "Back in Black" storyline.
