Anime series can vary wildly, from seemingly everlasting series like One Piece with hundreds upon hundreds of episodes to shorter-lived shows that manage to tell their entire story in less than twenty episodes. Finding the perfect balance of character growth and world-building can be difficult while keeping a show free of filler and full of action. Luckily, a good number of anime shows manage to strike a fast pace while still telling stories with rich characters and tense action.
