When the Straw Hat Pirates were last seen, they had plenty on their plates. The Seraphim were on the attack, Jewelry Bonney was looking at Bartholomew Kuma's memories, Vegapunk York was revealed as a traitor, two more Vegapunks were dead, three of Luffy's friends were petrified, and Lucci and Kaku were uncuffed. One Piece cut away from all this to focus on fights with the other Emperors and the Reverie, so fans were left wondering what would happen to Luffy and Co. for months. When the focus was finally returned to Egghead in Chapter 1089, "Hostage Situation," all the Straw hats' immediate problems were resolved.
