The Pokémon Company is partnering with TV Tokyo to create a live action drama based on its long-running franchise.
A post on X from TV Tokyo (below), translated by Serebii, announced Pocket Filled With Adventure, a TV series premiering on October 19 in Japan. It's currently unclear if the show will make its way west or receive an official English subtitle.

Unlike Pokémon's previous live action adventure, the Detective Pikachu film starring Ryan Reynolds, Pocket Filled With Adventure seemingly won't feature "real" versions of the beloved pocket monsters but instead tell the story of Madoka Akagi as she connects with the video game franchise.
Akagi, played by Nanase Nishino, receives her old copy of Pokémon Red from her mother after moving to Tokyo to work at an advertising company following her graduation. The series follows her story as she dives back into the world of Pokémon.
It's not the first time The Pokémon Company is telling stories about its franchise instead of from within its fictional worlds. Pokémon: Path to the Peak was announced in August and tells the story of a young girl joining a Pokémon card club at school before taking her talents all the way to the top.
