Since the collective intransigence of the studios forced the SAG-AFTRA union to strike, the annual Star Trek Las Vegas convention was a little different in 2023. While still a celebration, the cast of Star Trek: Discovery was prevented from talking about the show's upcoming final season. On its debut, Discovery wasn't warmly received by some fans, but the show deserves credit for saving the Star Trek franchise from Hollywood oblivion.
