Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Radio Silence's upcoming monster movie Abigail, set to unleash its horrors in theaters on April 19.

The studio decided to give viewers something to sink their teeth into by unveiling a preview of the mysterious "Dracula's Daughter" project from filmmaking duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who are well-established in the horror genre, having helmed Ready or Not, 2022's Scream, and last year's Scream VI.

The trailer offers a glimpse of the blood-thirsty new vampire flick written by Stephen Shields and Guy Busick, allowing audiences to get acquainted with the titular toothy terror, Abigail, played by Matilda the Musical and Night Swim star Alisha Weir, who puts on quite the performance as she arabesques and pirouettes across the screen.

The film's official logline reads, "Children can be such monsters. After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they're locked inside with no normal little girl."

The not-so-normal little girl takes center stage on the poster for the film, appearing in a blood-splattered ballerina costume after what we can only assume to have been an eventful night with her kidnappers-turned-babysitters, played by Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, and Angus Cloud.

Abigail will offer unique take on the legendary monster lore of Dracula, crafted by the producing team of William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt of Project X Entertainment. Tripp Vinson also produces alongside Chad Vilella of Radio Silence, while Ron Lynch and Macdara Kelleher serve as executive producers.
