Since 2008's Iron Man introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been built on the backs of its most iconic characters. Of course, not every tentpole figure can stick around forever, though they haven't all left under the same circumstances, either. Whereas many of the MCU's original Avengers were able to take leave from the franchise after being given a final turn at their respective roles to wrap up their characters' stories, Jonathan Majors' exit was decidedly more abrupt.
