It’s a new month, so of course there’s a new batch of freshly minted LEGO sets to choose from. That’s how LEGO operates. This month sees the release of a number of awesome sets, especially for anyone who happens to live video games. From Fortnite to Mario and Sonic, you’ll find new sets galore. And that’s in addition to the new Star Wars and Disney sets now available. We dig into all the new sets for October 2024 below.
LEGO Fortnite Sets Are Available
Probably the most popular game on the planet, Fortnite finally has its own official LEGO sets. These sets are all pretty awesome, and they have a wide range of price points. Grab the one that grabs you.
LEGO Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi Is Available
I’m absolutely in love with this set. It looks even better in person than it does in photos, largely because it’s layered. The layers make it possible for it to move when you turn the crank, but they also make it pop in a 3D sort of way when you look at it on a shelf. Read my We Build LEGO Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi feature to see what makes it so great. Also, don’t be surprised if this set shows up in the best LEGO Nintendo sets before too long.
LEGO Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile Is Available
Na na na na na na na nah… Batman! This take on the Batmobile is pulled straight from the classic, kid-friendly Batman TV series from the 1960s starring Adam West. It’s campy and delightful in equal measure. If you don’t have fond memories of watching this show, it would make a good gift for any moms or dads who do. It's one of the best LEGO Batman sets to add to your collection.
New LEGO Star Wars Sets
- LEGO Star Wars: Imperial Dropship vs. Rebel Scout Speeder - $39.99
- LEGO Star Wars: Jabba's Sail Barge - $499.99
It’s a relatively quiet month for Star Wars sets, at least in terms of the number released. However, that Ultimate Collector Series (USC) version of Jabba’s Sail Barge is a thing to behold. It’ll be available exclusively at the LEGO Store on October 3 for LEGO Insiders (sign up here for free), or October 6 for non-Insiders. But, you know, just sign up for the Insiders program and get it early, in case it sells out. Also check out our picks for the very best Star Wars LEGO sets available.
LEGO Shadow the Hedgehog Is Available
Shadow is making a big name for himself these days, what with his appearance in the upcoming movie Sonic 3, as well as the upcoming game Sonic X Shadow Generations. Now you can build a bust of hedgehog’s head, and it looks great. This new set joins the ever-growing list of Sonic LEGO sets worth buying.
LEGO Art Mona Lisa Is Finally Available
This LEGO Art set has appeared in these monthly columns for what seems like all year (OK, I just checked and it’s actually been since May). But it’s finally here! You can now build what’s gotta be the most famous painting on the planet, Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. It has a frame and everything, and was built so you can actually hang it on your wall. Pretty classy. Pretty cool.

While we’re on the subject of all things spooky, these new sets based on the Netflix series Wednesday, are also available now. There’s a good range of reasonable prices on them, too, so grab the one that’s in your budget if you’re a fan of the Jenna Ortega series.
LEGO Magic of Disney Set Is Available
This awesome set doesn’t celebrate any particular Disney movie: it celebrates a whole bunch of them. The centerpiece of the build is Mickey in his sorcerer’s apprentice outfit, but little scenes around him show off characters and scenes from animated movies like The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and more. It's a great LEGO Disney set for kids and adults to build together.
