The Nintendo Switch is a perfect blend of portability and home entertainment. With any modern gaming console, there is a subscription service available to gain access to games and play online. For Switch, that service is Nintendo Switch Online, which unlocks online play and a treasure trove of retro titles. Select titles from libraries like the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo Entertainment System are available for base NSO subscribers, with the N64 and GBA libraries unlocking for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack users.
If you're not playing any of these included games or multiplayer titles online, you might be looking to cancel your subscription. The process is quite simple once you're in the appropriate menu. We've outlined below how to cancel your Nintendo Switch Online subscription on both Nintendo Switch and PC.

What Nintendo Switch Online Alternatives Are There?
Currently, the Nintendo Switch does not offer any true alternatives to Nintendo Switch Online. There is not another service on Switch that you can subscribe to and receive access to games. If you own other consoles, you have multiple other subscriptions to consider, however.
First, PlayStation has PlayStation Plus available in three different tiers. Like NSO, this subscription will give you access to online play and monthly games. Higher versions of PS Plus also unlock an on-demand game catalog with hundreds of PS4 and PS5 games to choose from.
On the other hand, Xbox and PC users can subscribe to Xbox Game Pass. This subscription has hundreds of games available to instantly download whenever you choose. There are regular day one releases for titles like Persona 5 Tactica and Lies of P.
