It's a good year to be a Doctor Who fan, with the 60th Anniversary specials approaching in November, alongside the anticipated return of the mainline series in 2024, both of which are airing on Disney+ in the US. If want to avoid having to hunt down every streaming service that might have the modern series in its catalog, then this should be music to your timey-wimey ears.
The Complete New Who limited edition collection is now available to preorder at Amazon and will feature every single episode from the modern era of Doctor Who in wonderful physical Blu-ray format. At $174.99, this looks incredibly affordable vs. buying each series on its own.
It's still a premium price, for sure, but you're getting a lot of TV-show for that price, with the collection comprising every series from the revival in 2005, to the Flux episodes (Series 13) in 2021, and every Holiday episode or one-off special along the way as well.
If you need any more convincing, there are also some extra bonus items and content to check out in the collection. This includes an exclusive 60th Anniversary set of five Titan figures, a Certificate of Authenticity, and 'Recollections with Russell & David' where David Tennant and Russell T Davies reminisce about their time with Doctor Who from past to present. Doctor Who returns to our screens, alongside David Tennant and Catherine Tate, in November with the 60th Anniversary specials: The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, and The Giggle. These will be available on Disney+ in the US, or on BBC and BBC iPlayer for those in the UK. Sex Education's Ncuti Gatwa will also be taking over as the 15th Doctor with his first episode airing over the festive period.
