Between books like Youth and Lost Falls, writer Curt Pires is one of the most compelling reasons to be reading the Comixology Originals library. Now Pires is debuting three new series on Comixology in one day, including a new season of Lost Falls and two brand-new limited series called Money and Simulation. Theory.

Read on for full details about all three books, including exclusive previews of each.

Money

Monet is a collaboration between Pires and artist Luca Casalanguida, with colors by Mark Dale and lettering by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. This conspiracy thriller is set in a world where five powerful families secretly control the entire planet.

Here's Comixology's official description of the first issue:

Everything you’ve heard about the illuminati is true. Five families have ruled the world since time immemorial. They are . . .

Europe: The Medici Family

US: The Rothschilds

Middle East: The Sawri Family

China: The Yinling Family

South America: The Helu Family

Every 10 years a meeting is held. To elect a new leader. To shape the future of the world. That meeting is tomorrow. This is the story of what happens next. This is the story of how the world ends.

Money #1 debuts on Comixology on July 18, 2023.

Simulation. Theory

Simulation. Theory pairs Pires with artist Darryl Knickrehm, with colors by Mark Dale and lettering by Micah Myers. In this sci-fi series, a lucky few are given the chance to live forever as digital avatars in the metaverse. But is digital immortality really all it's cracked up to be?

Here's Comixology's official description for Simulation. Theory #1:

If you had the chance to live forever, would you? That’s what Nu Life is offering. A chance for transconscious migration (transferring of your mind and consciousness into the metaverse inside an avatar of your choosing). The opportunity to leave the real world and live in a digital one.

When Ash’s real life gets a bit too hot to handle, she’s offered help from a friend, who happens to be her ex. But when she enters her Nu Life and finds her ex there, they quickly realize the simulation may be more than they bargained for.

Simulation. Theory #1 also debuts on July 18.

Lost Falls: Season 2

Lost Falls: Season 2 also features the creative team of artist Pierluigi Minotti, colorist Emilio Lecce and letterer Micah Myers. This Twin Peaks-esque mystery series follows a detective who washes up on the shores of the titular town with no memory of how or why he got there.

Like the other two books, Lost Falls: Season 2 debuts on July 18.

“I’m excited to be debuting Money, Simulation Theory and Lost Falls S2 with my world class collaborators on these projects and my friends at Comixology,” said Pires in a statement. “These books run the gamut subject and genre-wise and tackle some of the most prescient topics of the day. I think there’s something for everyone in these three books and am delighted by the accessibility that Kindle Unlimited and Comixology Unlimited provide in making them widely available.”

Like all Comixology Originals titles, Money, Simulation Theory and Lost Falls: Season 2 will be free to read for subscribers of Comixology Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading, and the series can also be purchased individually.
